Position duties

We are professionals coming from the animation industry who are starting an ambitious video game project under the sign of visual excellence.
It’s about working on the Vertical-Slice of “Maiko”, a top-down action-adventure game made with Unreal Engine 5 in a stylized universe. We are therefore looking for a competent and proactive profile that will help us push quality to the maximum.

Duties :

  • Collaborate closely with the game designer.
  • Program and architect the gameplay features (3C, GameMode, …).
  • Implement low autonomy AI with simple behaviors.
  • Integrate the necessary elements (animations, UI, sounds, ..).

Candidate profile

  • You have a good work experience in the fields of AI, combat, and 3C.
  • You have solid math skills.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Blueprint. 
  • You are autonomous, organized, and proactive.
  • You like working in a team and can communicate effectively and professionally with other colleagues (game designers, animators, artists).

Other skills :

  • Proficiency in C++ language is highly appreciated for the post-prototype.
  • Positive attitude and ability to give and receive constructive feedback. 
  • Good skills with perforce.
  • You have an experience as a combat system programmer.

Additional information

Contract: 2-3 months freelance contract (renewable and future CDI position to be filled depending on success).
Remuneration: Based on experience & according to profile.
To be filled: As soon as possible in Bordeaux (France) but open to remote working.
